Agree Robert; this is absolutely brilliant - I am genuinely impressed. Effectively "end-arounds" the brand-new TiVo and Replay with existing technology that is already going into people's homes. And it requires nothing further from Joe User in terms of energy or equipment in order to use it. You could also even argue that it works towards making VCRs obsolete, at least for "one-time" type of recording/viewing. And it gives broadcasters valuable viewership information as a nice by-product. Who needs Nielson!
