And that won't be fair either- the new people should not be paying more than us. As for the older people, they paid MUCH less for their houses, they paid zip into social security compared to what my husband has to pay, and they seem to have money out the wazoo which they spend on their motorhome and their pool and new cars every few years. There is no excuse for disproportionate taxes except for need- and my neighbors are not needy and I don't want to subsidize them.
