OT - Sort of.

Look for a connection between SFP and THQ. SFP is up again today and there is a very large short position on it (~4 Million shares). I assume that the same people with the 'big money' that are short SFP are also short THQI (Chanos and friends). As one goes up - or both as is happening today - the pressure to cover comes from two sources rather than one.

Both stocks are in the mid 30's right now. The total outlay for the shorts on these two stocks would be roughly 9.6 Million shares at $35/share (~$350 Million). That's a fairly hefty bet anyway you look at it. How big are these boys that they are not starting to feel the pain? I have no idea, but sooner or later they'll have to cover if this trend continues.

All indications at this point are that the the trends are looking good and that both stocks are headed much, much higher.
