Prophet, It seems very clear that we have patent litigation on the horizon. Agree. If not litigation, certainly negotiation of some kind if infringement has taken place. It will be tricky dealing with Rambus customers/licensees on this potential issue, and is probably why Tate himself is taking charge of the matter. My guess is that they strongly suspect there will be issues, even though they haven't confirmed them yet, or they would not have announced plans for activity in this area. While Rambus may never reap any royalties, they could cast a shadow over the prospects for DDR success with OEMs, i.e. slow its adoption. Since some of the DRAM makers have been a pain in the a## about rambus maybe rambus will now return some of the favor. Very tricky situation to be in with your customers, but I sense Tate is growing tired of taking it on the chin while having to maintain radio silence! Best, jack
