This is nice to hear (see below), Compaq is still
trying to put some $$ into Alpha with partners. I
suspect NetApp will simply port their stuff to the
fastest processor as time goes on, but it looks like
Intel will be late with IA-64 equivalents of Alphas
so it is nice to know NetApp will have more processors
in the Alpha pipeline from Compaq (Digital).
Anyone have links to Compaq and know the roadmap for
Alphas? Wondering when we will see a 1Ghz-powered
NetApp filer/netcache?
If AMD continues on hotrodding their chips, I
wonder if we'll see a low-end NetApp with an AMD
chip?
