Even so, burning in anger will hurt no one except the person who burns, and this gives the assailant power he does not deserve. Better to occupy every waking moment seeking joy than burning. I [forgave] for 6 years after the assault...then my life became all about anticonvulsant drugs and seizures every day. I think then that if one in your situation takes up one?s bitterness anew, then one has never truly forgiven. I simply tell you my position on the thing, coey. You of course may live as you wish. A life of drugs and seizures is still a life. And even this sort of life (especially this life) appreciates in value the more it seeks joy. It makes it hard to forget...and I will not forgive the unforgivable. Ain? nobody talking ?bout no forgitin?! (grin) The thing is obviously a part of your identity. But is it all you are? Is it even most of you? A pity if it is. I say use it for joy. It could be much worse... This is always the case, even had you been sexually assaulted. There are worse things even than this. Death for instance. And there are worse things even than death. I believe in "an eye for an eye". In a way, so do I. Indeed I believe in a head for an eye. But when it comes to my own peace of mind, it is better to just turn the other cheek, give it all up, let them take what they will, and in all circumstances keep my sights strictly on joy. (running)
