E-Sync Networks Appoints Jonathan Rubin Chief Executive Officer Former Telechoice Strategist to Lead Company in the New Millennium
TRUMBULL, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 13, 1999--E-Sync Networks, Inc. (OTC BB: ESNI; www. e-syncnet.com), a leading global provider of managed e-business-to-business applications and services, today announced the appointment of Jonathan Rubin to the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective January 4, 2000. Mr. Rubin will succeed John C. Maxwell, who has been serving as CEO on an interim basis during the recent repositioning of the company. Mr. Maxwell will continue as Chairman of E-Sync Networks' board of directors and Managing Director of CE Capital Partnership, and will resume his role as a full-time venture capitalist.

Mr. Rubin, who has been active in the telecommunications industry for more than ten years, joins E-Sync Networks from TeleChoice, a leading business services provider to the telecommunications industry, where he was Chief Operating Officer. As COO, he managed the company's day-to-day operations and helped develop its e-commerce venture.
Before that, Mr. Rubin worked as President of Greenwich, CT-based InfoCom, a division of NFO Worldwide, which provides marketing research and analysis to the telecommunications industry. In that capacity, he launched InfoCom and grew its revenues by more than 500 percent in one year. InfoCom's clients included equipment manufacturers, service providers, and associations. Under Mr. Rubin's guidance, InfoCom also was selected to manage the first subscriber trials for the leading global satellite telecommunications provider.
Previously, Mr. Rubin held management positions with Southern New England Telephone and Trans National Communications and consulting positions with Mercer Management Consulting and Bain & Company. He also worked for the investment-banking firm Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Rubin earned his MBA and undergraduate degrees from Yale University.
