Actually there is a way to add cash balances to the quote sheet. The trick is outlined in the release notes on the beta download page:

qcharts.quote.com

"A useful trick: The value of the un-committed cash in your portfolio can be included on a quote sheet by adding the symbol MUTUAL:SMRPX. Since the price of this mutual fund is 1.00, if you enter the number of shares in the position equal to the cash dollars in your account, the Value column will show this amount, and the Total row will show the total value of your account. This trick lets you show the total risk of all positions against the total holdings in the account both in cash and shares."

You can put in as many lines of cash entries as you like. For example, If I sell a stock, I add a line for the cash from the sale into the positions quote sheet until it settles.
