Chuckles - Re: "Sun's bumbling with UltraSparc may be the best thing that has happened to Merced. Score one for Intel." Last word I heard was that the UltraSparc III was STILL NOT completely functional as of 2 weeks ago, and that is 9 months after first tape out (March, 1999) which itself was 12 months late ! Funny, the media press and analysts have nothing but great and grand things to say about SUN ! I wouldn't be surprised if SUN wasn't one of the second group of systems houses to offer an ITanium Server - late next year ! Paul
