leigh..."why not talk to michael dell about e-commerce" probably because the majority of e-commerce transacted by dell is self serving and benefits their internal needs. the "others" are selling "solutions" to their customers, solutions far beyond just transacting business between the primary partners. ibm, hwp, sunw, et al...set up businesses from web site to servers to whatever, so they may partake "fully" of e-commerce
