could be of course...but you could say the same thing about Prechter, and he's betting the other way. anyhow, Acampora has been an absolutely PERFECT contrary indicator this year. remember his 'sell the nets' call, within one day of the August bottom? what's more, too many people agree with him. the AAII survey has now only 11% bears vs. 62% bulls, levels not seen in years. likewise the speculation in equity calls has reached a whole new level over the past few months. outstanding call contracts are exploding... add to that the IPO boom and the revival of penny stock speculation, all in the face of the worst divergence in market internals since '73, and you have all the potential building blocks for a major upset. in fact, if not for the Fed's completely reckless printing, the market would probably have tanked by now...they just managed to postpone it and ensure that we will get a few rather dramatic days when the bottom falls out. hb
