LOL! people don't remember it nowadays, but for a long time after the '29 crash, dividend yields on stocks used to be higher than bond yields. stocks had to compensate for the risk associated with owning them. nowadays people believe stocks to be an essentially riskless asset that knows only one direction: up.
this euphoria and complacency is exactly the opposite of the despondency one finds at important bottoms. the AAII bears are at a multi year low btw....
