Target, Gap, Other Stores Draw Crowds on Third Holiday Weekend

Chicago, Dec. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Dayton Hudson Co.'s Target, Sharper Image Corp., Vendex KBB NV's upscale toy
seller FAO Schwarz and other retailers for a third weekend drew throngs of shoppers in search of electronics, toys,
sweaters and other holiday gifts.

At a Gap Inc. store in downtown Chicago, customers waited in lines 12-people deep to buy shirts, dresses, pajamas
and jeans.

``They didn't have much on sale,' said Jenny Baker, 14, who traveled 90 miles with friends from Lake Geneva,
Wisconsin, to shop at Gap, Nike Inc.'s Niketown and other stores on Chicago's Michigan Avenue. ``We still bought a
lot, mainly sweaters and lotions.'
