This just in... Dow Jones Newswires -- December 13, 1999 Hummingbird Prices 1.5M-Share Offering At $45/Shr NEW YORK -- Hummingbird Communications Ltd. (HUMC) priced its 1.5-million share offering at $45 a share. In a press release Monday, the company said it expects gross proceeds of $67.5 million. Hummingbird said it granted a syndicate of underwriters an option for an additional 500,000 shares. The option expires 48 hours after marketing starts. Hummingbird Communications said it plans to use the proceeds from the offering to cut debt, fund potential acquisitions and for general corporate purposes. The enterprise software solutions developer expects to close the transaction by Dec. 30. Shares of Hummingbird Communications closed Monday at 31 5/8, down 59/64, or 2.8%, on Nasdaq volume of 64,700 shares. Average daily volume is 16,507 shares. -Consella A.
