Gary,

There was really now way to know that the plant was only going to be productive in the short term...wasn't there some agreement with the government in that regard. I had a similar experience with some foreign stocks trading in the U.S. (although I lost many many times the amount you lost).

Things can be very different than they first appear. Good Luck.
