For every sale there is a buyer.Huge selling by definition equals huge buying. If you are manipulating the price of a stock or a gold trade. The difference is where you put your bids. We are not talking free market here. They simply find sellers than lower their bids.It is done in stocks all the time. Illegal of course but all too common. The finding of sellers is what the people called institutional salesman do for a living in stocks and in bullion trading they do the same thing. When they are going the other way they reverse the process.
