Informative post, Dennis!

I don't think, however, that Bre-X desired to release the Strathcona statement, but had to as a result of the Freeport leak and pr.release. Their only option at that point was to turn their data over to an impartial panel/expert, and that jury in turn gave its impression. I believe the Strathcona missive was purported because they saw the flaw in BXM's methodology: i.e., the induplicable tests (a must for any scientific process to be considered valid). The announced assessment, then, was that there was a POSSIBILITY (strong or whatever), that the results may have been over-extrapolated to the remainder of the area by Felderhof, et al. (also partly because SNC Lavalin's report was based on BXM-supplied samples).

For now, I don't feel that any legitimate conclusions can be based on this part of the problem, at least until confirmatory drilling and proper assaying is conducted, and then RE-confirmed again, like any reliable scientific proof.

You raise some very good and valid points to consider, as well as supply pertinent info - -thanx!

Best of,
JJ
