Unless I am mistaken, this P/s is calculated exactly that way MarketCap/sales where market cap is representative of price I don't follow your reasoning. Let's consider a hypothetical situation with two companies. One has 1 million shares outstanding and the other has 100 million shares outstanding. Assume that they both have the same sales and profit for the year. How can you assume that both companies should have their stocks trade at the same price?
