Don't feel it was random at all....Now one step further here. Target here was actually Jim and Suzanne was conveniently used. The murder being necessary in order to discredit Jim.

This theory obviously presumes premeditation. As I've said before, I can't see how Suzanne possibly could have been stalked. Furthermore, if we assume for the sake of argument the killer(s) were able to track down Suzanne and lure her into a car then we must also assume the killer(s) also had damning evidence (bloody clothes, the murder weapon, etc.). If they were really trying to set up Jim, why not drop the body in his front yard? Why not toss some incriminating evidence there as well?

It's an interesting thought, and certainly possible, but there are too many gotchas for me. However, if I've overlooked something please let me know. :)
