I regret the need to delay answering your message. First of all, you do not know me. You do not know what I know, how much I know, or how long I have known it but, you tell someone else that I am sucking milk from the teat of Christianity. That was not a nice thing to say without knowing more. I have been a Christian longer than some and not as long as others. Ever since I was saved, I have studied very long and hard from the bible. Sometimes by myself and very often in a group of Christians in which some have been Christians for over 20 years. We look for guidance in our daily lives from the bible. When one of us does not know what to do or how to do it, we look for scripture that has to do with the problem and discuss it for a long time so that we all understand what it says. It is true that the one called Brian has memorized the bible by book, chapter, and verse very well. I believe that memorizing and quoting these numbers is not important. What is important is that we understand and know the message. The numbers or word for word memory is not the important part.
I did not try to straighten up Brian. I just made it clear that I did not agree with him on all that he said and how he said it. He speaks too much of the threats and punishments of God from the old testament and not enough about the love and forgiveness of Jesus in the new testament. To make it worse, he seems to yell out his opinions and if someone disagrees he attacks them as if they were stupid and should take what he says as if he were the god. More people would listen to him if he did not treat them so badly and think that he is the only one that can be right. Do you not find it odd that no other one on the board called "Jesus" agrees with him except when you peek in? As far as I can see, you are the only one who agrees with him on this board. Before I ever sent a message, I read many of the messages so I could better know who I would be discussing with. That is why I seem to know a lot in so short a time.
If by Dan you mean the one called DCF, I have not seen any one drive him away from any thing or any where. He shows to be a very good Christian and is listened to by many people.
I have no brand of religion and all of my thoughts and words come from what I have read in the bible. I do not like the word religion because those in charge of the old churches were the ones that made me go away from Christianity in the first place. That is why I just say Christianity instead of religion. |
