The reason that several different law firms file class actions, and do so quickly, is that those they all wish to sign up the the best representative class plaintiffs. A judge will later determine which firm or firms will be permitted to proceed to represent the class, based on the firms' qualifications and engagement by the greatest number of persons best representative of the class or classes of plaintiffs. Actually, the court is likely to select two or three of the firms to pursue the case.
