Mike,

From time to time companies and closed end funds announce their intention to liquidate. Often the asset values exceed the market value by a significant amount. I've seen Warren Buffett take a number of positions like this over the last few years and profit handsomely. This seems like a great strategy for a small operator like myself in an environment that isn't offering too much that I'm comfortable with otherwise. The problem is that I haven't found any source of information that will give me timely information on these announcements. Can you shed any light on where I might want to look? I always find out after the value is long gone and the process is already underway.

Wayne
