I am sure I never said it was impossible to be a good parent to a teenager AND work. I never say things like that. Nothing is impossible. But the ODDS are better if you are home and attentive and loving etc etc etc. I (of course) believe the years from birth-5 are the most crucial- but AFTER those years, I believe the teenage years are the next major spot where really concentrated intervention can give you a hands up in the odds of raising a healthy child.
