South Atlantic Resources Ltd., Announces NAN Reports On
Preliminary Design For Milling And Concentrating Facility
For SNC-Project In Northern Sweden

DECEMBER 14, 1999
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--South Atlantic Resources Ltd.,
through its 39% owned publicly traded subsidiary North Atlantic
Natural Resources AB (NAN), is pleased to announce that Kvaerner
Metals has completed a preliminary design for a new milling and
concentrating facility for the SNC-Project in the Skellefte mining
district of northern Sweden. The facility is currently sized to
process ores from the Storliden and Norrliden copper-zinc deposits
at a rate of 850 tonnes per day.
Using this design capacity in conjunction with metallurgical tests
conducted by Lakefield Research Laboratories, the Storliden
deposit alone is projected to yield an annual saleable metal
production of approximately 11,000 tonnes of copper and 26,000
tonnes of zinc for a minimum period of six years.
As part of the current pre-feasibility study, marketing studies
are underway for optimizing sales to metal producers throughout Europe.
Metallurgical testing for optimization of production from the
Norrliden deposit is currently underway. Results are expected in
late December, 1999. Plans call for exploitation of the Norrliden
deposit immediately following the Storliden deposit.
