Briand.The letter says"We have upgraded our equipment from Com 21 to Cisco. as a result of this upgrade we will need to change out all existing COM21 modems with our new General Instrument SURFboard "Cable Labs" certified DOCSIS cable modem". Hope this helps. They are sending an installer here to the house tomorrow to make the swap no charge. pfierb
