Doug during break between meetings, let me ask the following question. Do you know the difference between ATM technology and IP. Do you realized that most of serious IP networks are run over ATM, and I am not taking about ISP who provides only cheap internet access. My corporation like IBM,CITICorp, GM are building next generation IP networks based on ATM: read this:http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/991130/nj_at_t_de_1.html Two technology are merging togheter and LU is betting on IP over ATM too(CEO on SuperCOm 99). ATM are running IP services(50 gig have it) were IP can not run ATM. Did you attend July broadband conf. where CSCO was heavily promoting IP/ATM as a future core network? Seems to me that you ask for lots of proof, and when you get it in form of article you will come back with the same statement and question later. Sorry but in the future I am not going to post you the same all over again, just to see that you are completely ignoring the facts after reading another Street.Com article. Now every big carrier will not take any gear which is not standard compliant, and NN is in almost every standard body. Zbyslaw
