PremiumWear, Inc. Moves to Nasdaq Under Ticker Symbol 'WEAR'

MINNETONKA, Minn., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- PremiumWear, Inc. (NYSE: PWA) today announced that, starting tomorrow, December 15, the Company's common stock will be traded on the Nasdaq National Market System under the ticker symbol WEAR. Trading in the Company's stock will be discontinued on the New York Stock Exchange concurrent with the Nasdaq listing.

"With the move to Nasdaq's competing market maker system, we are looking forward to expanded investor support and more recognition of our strong financial performance in recent years," said James S. Bury, CFO.

Since focusing on logo'd apparel for the promotional products/advertising specialty industry in 1995, PremiumWear's annual revenues in this business have grown from $15 million to management's estimate of $42 million for 1999. In addition, PremiumWear's new Page & Tuttle(R) line continues to increase its penetration in the golf pro and resort shops, with more than 1,000 shops carrying Page & Tuttle(R) logo'd apparel.
