Are you comfortable holding the short positions thru Jan ?

No. Generally, I feel comfortable holding a short position about 4-5 hours - maybe a day. I held my current positions through market close today because everything seemed to be pretty weak - and I guess I'm hoping for a weak open tomorrow (RHAT has opened down every day for the past 3 days).

I'm thinking through a couple of potential strategies for new year's and Y2k - I'm not sure I would feel comfortable with any naked short positions. I agree that the first week of January may be strong (provided there are no Y2k blow-ups), however, if the Nasdaq doesn't correct before January, I would think that there might be an increased risk of correction in January.

But what do I know?
