Global Warming alert!

The new G* USA N. America map predicts inundation of Alaskan Panhandle and Vancouver island!

A more serious complaint:

G* and it's affiliates need to make sure all maps on line are current and consistent. By my count there are several inconsistent variants floating around the web.

GMPCS has two maps, neither of which is current

This one, linked to their home page,

gmpcs-us.com

was replaced by G* USA in October by this map

gmpcs-us.com

which GMPCS also has, linked to it's G* details page.

Manhattan Microwave also has the same map,

which was replaced on G*USA's site by these maps

globalstarusa.com
globalstarusa.com

which presumably are the current "official" variants. The GLP site, which should be the final authority on such questions, just has the totally useless (and misleading) statement under "customer support: coverage" that 41 "countries" will roll out service in 1999.

And a final request: all such maps should show in detail not just where service is technically feasible, but where, exactly, it's licensed, and location of regional terrestrial systems that support roaming from G* and/or offer G* services.
