Who? recruits new CEO, kicks old one upstairs:

biz.yahoo.com

The new guy comes from a job where he has worked on computer sales with Compaq, IBM, and HP . . . so it looks like Who? has been unable to date to make any OEM progress and is looking toward a salesman type to help them out. This is probably a good move on their part -- shooting right at IDX in an effort to become the "breakout leader" in biometrics in 2000 -- but it will not help if Who?'s problem is they are trying to sell an inferior product -- or, in their case, a product they can't get off the pilot stage.

I also noticed that they referred to their technology as permitting readers as thin as 4.3mm. We are clearly heading into a "mine is smaller than yours" phase, since the DFR-300 is described as 4.5mm thin, or 1/126 of an inch thicker than what Who? is shooting for. Of course, what will Who? do when the improved DFR- comes out at 3 mm?
