I have written a friendly take-over letter to Trans Cosmos -- hold it hold it: not yet! I mean, a shareholder's letter urging them to update their web site. As yet, their corporate history ends in 1997 -- both in the English and in the Japanese version. To me, this is just one more wonderful demonstration that Japanese corporations, including i-net profiting corporations, (a) have yet to see themselves through the eyes of net walkers (as proved by stale and make-the-CEO-happy graphic-rich thus slow-loading web pages esp. at large corporations), (b) have yet to believe that the net is quite for real. Which is fine with me. It means that most of the much is yet to come and I may hope to save enough to retreat to the Australian desert while my feet still carry the attached body.

P.S. And what a beautiful autumn around me, the reed red and yellow and gold.
