What Do You Understand Is The "Milling Process" Used By the Previous Miners?

I would like to know where the mercury was used in the old process. Apparently the new process will be benign. Are we to believe that questions about the actual "resource" is a moot point. i.e. there is a quantity large enough to warrant the participation of a major? One play I'm involved in (share owner) is the Glimmer /Exall play in "good old Northern Ontario", Hemlo gave up on them because the drilling indicated only ~450,000 ounces, and the statement went that the reason that they were being dropped is because they don't deal with anything under 1 million ounces. Now they're having trouble to find waste for backfill because they are putting their "high grade waste/low grade ore through the mill", check out the Exall thread for the full story.
To get back to the point, how many ounces would you believe/guess that we are talking about and at what grade?

Cheers Winzer
