PacketPort.com to Develop Voice over Digital Subscriber Line
Technology

NORWALK, Conn., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- PacketPort.com, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PKPT - news) today announced a new strategy
that will leverage its 4 years of pioneering experience in the Internet telephony industry. Its new strategy will allow PacketPort.com to capitalize
on emerging telecommunications market trends in the established, high growth, Internet telephony marketplace, by leveraging its core
technologies to increase revenue and speed new product development.

PacketPort.com's new initiative will allow PacketPort.com to launch telecommunications into the next millennium by producing a complete line
of Voice-over-DSL (VoDSL) products -- what Cahners In-Stat Group, an independent research firm, calls ``The Killer App.' Cahners
In-Stat projects the market for VoDSL products to grow from $1 billion in 2000 to over $9 billion in the year 2003 representing a 108%
compounded annual growth rate.

PacketPort.com will leverage its unique SUN Solaris technical expertise in building open-scalable SS7-enabled Carrier Class Gateway
products to reduce the time to market for its VoDSL product line.

Digital Subscriber Line or DSL is currently being marketed as a service which provides high-speed Internet access over the existing copper
wires of the circuit switched telephone system. Voice-over-DSL, however, allows the same line to provide multiple lines of Voice or
Fax-over-IP service in addition to high-speed Internet.

PacketPort.com expects its VoDSL product development to be completed by the first quarter and begin shipping commercially in the second
quarter.

PacketPort.com will continue to grow and gain market share in their existing IVR, CTI, and IP Gateway platforms as well as speed the
production of high density Carrier class SS7-enabled Gateways.
