Having lived in Indonesia several years I've learned it is impossible to keep a secret there. The people are so curious as a part of their culture, observing, gosiping and imagining comes automatically.

The locals are also Everywhere. They clean your house, cook & serve your food, drive you everywhere, carry your bags, and on and on.

To beleive that deGuzman could have carried out a clandestine operation salting samples for 30 months in such a culture is impossible for me. Had he even tried, such covert activity would have been observed as things of mystery which would have driven the locals wild with curiousity.

One other point, please. If salting did happen, many of the locals have first hand knowledge of it and almost all of them have second and third hand knowledge. The authorities there Always get to the bottom of things by interogation of those near the scene. Always.
