I am BLOWN AWAY by the DEEP implications of EarthLink Deal. Does everyone know what it may mean? The offer is not just to NEW M EMBERS of Earthlink but also to EXISTING MEMBERS of EarthLink - a virtual army of over 1,500,000 paying members and all the POTENTIAL NEW CUSTOMERS (last year that number was 67,000 new users a day - I dont have the current number, but it is not small) OF INTERNET SERVICE IN THE MARKET. ALL These MILLIONS have been offered FREE Earthlink connections for a year for opening an account with USABancSHARES. I did not expect this at all........ Lets do some math on Earthlink members that would simply opt for 1 year free Internet Service and open an account with USAB:

(I.S. = Internet service)
1% signups assuming other 99% dont want FREE I.S. 15,000
2% signups assuming other 98% dont want FREE I.S 30,000
5% signups assuming other 95% dont want FREE I.S 75,000
10% signups assuming other 90% dont want FREE I.S 150,000
20% signups assuming other 80% dont want FREE I.S. 300,000
30% signups assuming other 70% dont want FREE I.S. 450,000
40% signups assuming other 60% dont want FREE I.S. 900,000
Do we even need to touch another maybe 10,000 U.S consumers a day that shop for internet service:
For Each Day let us just get 1% of these = 10,000 * 1% = 100 per day or 36,500 per year.

No matter how you look at it, we are looking at a Mega Bank of the Future. Now am I entirely wrong, little wrong or totally right?

Harry

p.s. Probably entirely wrong because I did not even consider people wanting to switch Internet Service Providers.

NOTE by justpatient1ywaiting: If ELNK/MSGP have total about 3,000,000 paying members, not
just 1,500,000 (as some one had indicated), the number in about may need to be changed to:

(I.S. = Internet service)
1% signups assuming other 99% dont want FREE I.S. 30,000
2% signups assuming other 98% dont want FREE I.S 60,000
5% signups assuming other 95% dont want FREE I.S 150,000
10% signups assuming other 90% dont want FREE I.S 300,000
20% signups assuming other 80% dont want FREE I.S. 600,000
30% signups assuming other 70% dont want FREE I.S. 900,000
40% signups assuming other 60% dont want FREE I.S. 1,200,000
