NEON Delivers Tivoli Ready Management for e-Business Integration
DENVER, Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- New Era of Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEON - news) today announced a cooperative development agreement with Tivoli Systems Inc., an IBM company and a leading supplier of IT management solutions, to provide Tivoli Ready monitoring and management capabilities for NEON e-Business Integration Servers.
Through this shared software initiative, customers will be able to use the Tivoli environment to manage databases, operating systems and applications, while monitoring and managing data flowing through IBM MQSeries® Integrator and NEON e-Biz Integrator.
''Adding support for NEON e-Business Integration Servers to the Tivoli-monitored world is a significant enhancement that will improve our customers' ability to handle Internet generated traffic. With this new capability, NEON's Tivoli Ready solution will be the preferred choice for companies that need to integrate and manage their existing operational systems with new e-Business applications,'' said Peter Hoversten, senior vice president of product strategy for NEON.
''Being able to monitor and manage integration server message flows at this level of granularity provides companies critical information about the health of their e-Business applications,'' said Chuck Stern, vice president of Internet Business Solutions, Tivoli Systems Inc. ''These new capabilities greatly increase customers' ability to react to problems and reliably meet the performance standards expected in the 24 x 7, real-time e-Business environment.''
As enterprise integration becomes an essential part of the IT infrastructure, companies now rely on integration servers to perform critical business functions. For example, an e-Business implementation requires integration servers to reside between a company's web site and their operational systems, such as order entry and billing. A company's ability to efficiently monitor and manage this function in conjunction with other enterprise resources directly affects their ability to react to changing business conditions and to create a competitive advantage.
''As organizations deploy EAI infrastructures to enable mission-critical e-Business solutions, robust management is an absolute necessity,'' said Beth Gold-Bernstein, senior analyst, The Hurwitz Group.
