Ok, ok, I'll admit the thought of MSFT on a leash makes me smile a satisfied smile, but mine(oh, it's very real) is just that sort of emotion that feeds the sense of hunger for power, in the powerful. Failure to do more than short-term superficial good, and success at creating not quite so short-term harm, is the usual result. I feel MSFT has been out of line, but I also see a profit squeeze hitting them without governmental help. Decent internet access machines are only getting cheaper soon, in all likelihood. The cost of Windows itself, a major profit maker for MSFT, will likely soon approach the whole cost of the rest of the system. That won't fly in a free-market, IMHO. Perhaps it's best to let well enough alone.
