7:52:11 AM 12/15/99 Glenayre President and CEO Eric Doggett contacted sister publication PagingNOW to elaborate on his company's recent stock price increase, spurred by DLJ's decision to rate the stock a "Buy." "I think there have been several analysts sitting on the sidelines waiting to see how Glenayre would reposition itself, and I believe our third-quarter results were a very strong indication of a dramatic and substantial improvement in our overall financial foundation," Doggett says. "We feel confident in analysts' expectations, and people are starting to realize things are happening at Glenayre." According to Doggett, the paging infrastructure market has matured, and Glenayre no longer sees paging infrastructure as a growth market. Instead, enhanced service platforms and data-centric devices, including two-way messaging units, will take up the slack.
