BBG -
If you are including me in the group of "short term whiners" I will have to take exception...

I have a target for my base portfolio of 20% annual return, and for my speculative portfolio of 40%. The base represents about 70% of my holdings.

DELL is likely to fit into the base well enough - between the 13% or so in direct equity appreciation and another 10% on selling covered calls, I am over 20% on DELL for the year.

But I don't think DELL fits into the other category - and therefore I need to reduce my holding a little bit.

I guess, from your comments, and those of wbm, Jim Kelley, and others, that "REAL MEN" don't exercise any discipline or deep analysis on their holdings, but just go with their gut and stick with it... sorry, not my style.

Good luck in your investments.
