Along the lines of adding an adapter card just to separate the trouble maker Jaz, one though I had was to use my ISA bus instead so to keep free PCIslots for future multimonitor cards.

Such as: Jaz® Jet ISA Adapter $89.95
Item: #10347

Provides a multi-tasking interface between your computer's ISA bus and your Jaz® drive or other SCSI devices (ISA-to-Fast SCSI

I have 3 ISA slots that finding a job for like interfacing with this Jaz which I'll be using maybe 15 min a month seems prudent. Why waste the PCI slot?
Have you had any experience with ISA to SCSI cards? Would it get the job done?

I understand USB to SCSI connectors are also available. For the same reasons, these would also be a possible alternative to using the PCI card.
