Hi Nick,

I doubt the BIOS itself is bad, otherwise you wouldn't get a post message at all. It being a proprietary system makes it a little tougher to work with. I suppose the warranty is out, taking Compaq's tech support out as an option.

If you can, try removing some of the RAM. It could simply be a bad RAM module. Otherwise, the board itself is likely toast. Which would not be good at all.
