The issue is not whether Cisco is going to collapse this or even next year.........what I am talking about is more like 1 to 2 year down the road. Interesting thing about stock market is that as soon as the market makers realize the potential exposure, they will adjust net present value of future earnings/growth expectation and presto -- the share price will take a hit.

So operationally, and bottom-line wise, the impact of competition and the impact of failed foray into the telecom network sector will not be apparent for awhile --- however the impact to the CSCO share price will in all likelyhood predate the actual shortfall in the earnings if the market is efficient (which is not a guarantee when everyone is so in love with CSCO that they may be blind to the danger signs).

Anyway, don't lose sleep over your investment but don't slumber too long either........this is one stock I would watch carefully.
