Tom: Sure it is "clout" but watch and wait.

Suggest that it is best to be careful here. MSFT ain't a slam dunk.

Most likely there will be no gorilla (even the gorilla MSFT may not be a gorilla here) in this space, and probably not even a king.

Very very early for all the players.

And suggest Symbian is a strong contender.

But little know or appreciated in the US - yet.

And of the Symbian alliance, Psion is has the IP's.

Lets all see how this plays out over the next couple of years.

Just at the beginning now.

Strongly recommend hedging bets by buying a basket - or waiting.

Don't think can pick, clear winner yet, but Palm has a strong early lead - altho it is "thin" and "simple" so a bit iffy in the long run.

PS Agree that saying Microsoft doesn't have a prayer is wrong. My mistake. You are right. Microsoft has a prayer.
