Release - NewSys now into CRM

NewSys Solutions And Brauch Database Systems Announce Teaming Agreement; NewSys Enters Fast Growing CRM Marketplace With Strategic Alliance

December 15, 1999

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--NewSys Solutions Inc. ("NewSys") (CDNX: NSS)
today announced that it has entered into a Teaming Agreement with
Brauch Database Systems, Inc. ("Brauch"), of Markham, Ontario, to
act as an IT services partner for Brauch's Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) software application known as Affinity (TM).
This agreement provides NewSys with access to the rapidly growing
CRM market and allows Brauch to draw on NewSys' 170 IT
professionals, and supplement its integration team, for the
implementation of Affinity software licensed installations.

Based on the Oracle (TM) platform, the Affinity client/server
application combines business intelligence (BI) and database
marketing into a powerful value-added web-enabled solution. The
system can benefit any client that utilizes mass mail campaign
strategies or web promotions as part of its marketing programs.
Affinity stores and manages customer contact information,
demographic information, purchasing history and enables end-users
to relate the information in ways to predict future purchasing
patterns. The vertical market opportunities for Affinity include
magazine publishing, catalogue merchandisers, financial services,
manufacturing and insurance industries.

Mark Quigg, President and CEO of NewSys, commented, "This
strategic alliance represents another spoke in our growing hub of
BI and Oracle specialty practices. We are continually focused on
growing our BI business practice, which now accounts for over 40%
of NewSys' sales revenue. The agreement with Brauch provides
another channel for leveraging our BI expertise into the rapidly
growing CRM segment."

Rolf Brauch, President & CEO of Brauch Database Systems stated,
"We are very pleased to be associated with an IT consulting
company that has the high level of expertise and experience in
business intelligence applications that NewSys enjoys. This
agreement will enable Brauch to efficiently take on more
large-scale Affinity integration projects. We also believe there
is significant opportunity to license the Affinity solution to a
number of NewSys' clients."
