PFIZER INC confirmed late Tuesday it plans to file documents with the SEC this week aimed at ousting WARNER LAMBERT's board of directors as part of its proposed $71 billion takeover effort. Sources familiar with the situation said the filing could be made as soon as Wednesday. Pfizer had previously said it planned to file the papers before Christmas. Pfizer has said it would propose a seven-person slate of directors to replace the Warner-Lambert 10-member board. In a consent solicitation, shareholders are asked to take action through written votes. (Reuters 06:07 PM ET
