Jeff what makes you conclude that she didn't know her killer/s??

The thought has crossed my mind that it could have been someone from the Pizza Party. IMO someone has to be mental, high on drugs or in desperate need of a fix to stab 17 times (this would definitely be the "passionate" that the local police are hung on).

I dismissed all of the above (assuming she was on foot) as it appears that Suzanne was pretty intelligent and would have been on guard, at least a little bit, had she encountered any of the above. I can't see her just turning her back completely and walking away.

I also don't see her, willingly, getting into the car of a total stranger but I can easily run with your theory of her being forced into a car and attacked from the back seat which would also explain the "no struggle". Of course, the mental, druggie group above is included in this theory. The passionate (or in the case of some drugs 'dispassionate') stabbing also fits.
