Most infectious diseases are not caused by anaerobic organisms. 5,000 years ago they did not describe HIV, EBV, etc. because no one appreciated that microorganisms even existed. How can you understand a viral illness if you don't even know what a virus is?? Strep is an aerobic not an anaerobic organism. Few people get gangrene and these are often mixed infections. Guess what - acute leukemia and most every other illness existed 5,000 years ago...the fact that physicians did not understand the disease process does not mean it doesn't exist. Did you know that physicians thought that megaloblastic anemia (B12 deficiency) early this century was thought to be a variant of acute leukemia?? As a point of reference in the last 17 years I have seen every variation of holistic hocus-pocus used by a number of individuals and with rare exception (folic acid, retinoic acid in particular come to mind) it is pure unadulterated nonsense in terms of causing physical benefit. There is however alot of benefit in another way - psychic...that is worth something.
