I sometimes read the Yahoo msg boards, but the noise deters me. Some boards are really quite good, but yada yada yada, I am glad I'm here now.
RE USWB, the Rodney Dangerfield of econsulting, there has been a bad rap about poor assimilation of acquisitions, and there was that moonbeam thing. You know how the market paints with a wide brush. Look at Tyco, dotted every i, and they got bushwhacked, and are still on their knees.
Secondly, it's just out of the blue, this combination wasn't on any analyst's radar. And now the new CEO responsible for completing the integration of USWB acqs. AND the integration of that integration with WHIT... So now they must prove they can still perform until it closes, not have employee defections (I often hear these consultants described as prima donnas), and come out running when the merger closes... well, you can see that Wall Street stepped back, cut the caps to a 'safe' level, and will move that cap up or down as viability and "virility" of the combo is determined.
I won't consider selling until after the 1st unless the market just drops off a cliff before then - lots of talk of the internet bubble on the boob tube and web. Still haven't gotten my WHIT surf research done.
