FREMONT, CA, December 16, 1999 -- Zitel Corporation (Nasdaq:ZITL)
announced today that it has elected Tsvi Gal to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Gal is Chief Technology Officer at Merrill Lynch, the brokerage
powerhouse. His career includes being a Chief Information Officer at
ABN AMRO Bank, the world's 7th largest bank, and leadership positions at
Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of America. Mr. Gal pioneered the Internet by
offering the first Electronic Banking solution in the industry and
continued to provide innovative solutions throughout his career. He is
also heavily involved in the investment community and the venture
capital world, providing funding, business plans and connections to
promising companies.
Mr. Gal stated, "My willingness to join Zitel's Board is an indication
