eConnect Develops First Linux-based Transactional Servers

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 1999--eConnect (OTCBB:ECNC), fully reporting, has developed the first Linux-based transactional server (LTS) for the purpose
of receiving incoming Internet cash payments by ATM card and PIN.

The LTS will route into the ATM card Regional Networks the ATM card and PIN Internet cash transactions that have been originated by hardware plugged into a computer keyboard.

It is anticipated that the first LTS will soon be receiving the first ATM card and PIN Internet cash bill payments.

This is the Internet cash model referred to in the Nov. 18
CNN.com article in which a Star Systems spokesperson referred to three different Internet cash models. Star Systems is a regional EFT that serves 3,700 financial
institutions and 79 million cardholders.
